My Christmas Prize!

I now have to take back all of the bad things I have said about my husband!! He is usually a terrible gift giver, but this year he made up for all of those bad gifts!

Here is my reaction to the present...

And here it is...

This was the biggest surprise (2nd only to our engagement) he has ever pulled off! So... he is in my good graces (for now anyway)!

All Hail the Queen

These days Pepper is the queen of our household. Apparently, being pregnant with 8 babies gets you the royal treatment...

Happy Birthday (x4)

This was big birthday weekend for our family!

Happy birthday to Tara (whom we got to embarrass at the Mexican restaurant), Brad (whom hopefully has recovered from the shark attack off the Great Barrier Reef), Papa (whom Ryan thinks looks an awful lot like Colonel Sanders) and last but not least...Angus (who may not make it to another year if he keeps chewing up our possessions)!

Hope you all had a great birthday!! We love you!!

Is it whom or who??? Whom knows??

Howloween

It was a perfect night for trick-or-treating! We had a great time with the Wilson clan (friends who so graciously allow us to crash their neighborhood on Halloween!). This was probably my last year to choose Rye Bread's costume (in case you can't tell from the photos, he is an elephant--obviously the political statement didn't help the election!) Owie is all into the Goosebumps books, so he had to be "The Werewolf of Fever Swamp"--very scary!!

Mother of the Year

What does the "Mother of the Year" do for Halloween? Well...she decides on the afternoon of October 30th to make treats with the boys for their classmates. She ends up staying up until 1 am dipping (chocolate not skoal), sprinkling, packaging, tying cute bows and adding the all -important vintage Halloween sticker. Who appreciates this wonderful mother?? Certainly not her husband who cannot stand when she starts projects at the last minute...certainly not her own children who don't even like chocolate...and certainly not the classmates who ripped open the perfectly packaged goodies, tossing the cute ribbon and crumpled bag with vintage sticker aside to devour a small portion of the perfectly dipped and sprinkled pretzel or ghost before moving on to some other goodie bag provided by another wannabe mother of the year! And now, here I sit at 11 pm writing about this project, still hoping that someone will appreciate it! So sad...

Pumpkin, pumpkin

You know you are leading a pretty boring life when all you do on the weekends in October is visit different pumpkin patches... I have since decided that the Pumpkin Patch is a booming business and perhaps the Warbingtons will open one next year!

Owie

I love this little boy! As the oldest child of two oldest children, Owie doesn't stand a chance!! I'm sure we have already caused him to have ulcers...

Rye Bread

I love this little boy! He makes me absolutely nuts--he is forever into everything and I can't wait to get breaks from him...but when I do have time away, I miss him like crazy!

When you realize you aren't the favorite...

I saw this the other day and thought it was so funny!! Enjoy!

We're not in Kansas anymore...

I was driving home the other day and saw the strangest sight--a gazillion scarecrows! Turns out this town (Hoschton) is trying to break the Guinness world record for the most scarecrows in a town. These photos are just from one farm in the town-I passed many, many more scarecrows!! They even had a football field set up with UGA scarecrow players against Tech players-craziness!

It's back!

All of the men in my life are so excited--it's football season again! We started off with a loss to Cedar Shoals, but Chris (ever the optimist) still has good feelings about this season. The boys love the Raider games-mostly because they can run on the field after the game:)! I like football season because I get to begin my Sunday afternoon shopping trips again! As a matter of fact, I need to cut this short and head out right now...shoe shopping!!

Jeremiah the Jolly, Fat Frog

Chris decided I needed a new class pet...I decided he should have to take care of it!
Chris just showed up one afternoon with this creature. His "Marvin" Stewart side came out, and he spent an hour creating this frog wonderland for our friend.

I must say that Jeremiah is a huge hit at school. He's this rather large bullfrog (in case you didn't gather that from his name), and he is pretty lazy-just lounges around eating crickets and guppies!

Snaggletooth

We're keeping the Tooth Fairy busy at our house! Owie lost two teeth within a 24 hour period...

Happy Birthday, Soni!

We all hope you have a great day!! It's always good to have your birthday fall on a Friday...you can really celebrate and sleep in the next day!!! Enjoy!

Back to School!

Well...school is back in session. Owie is now a first grader, and Mrs. Gannon is his teacher-she is great!! I get to be really annoying this year since his classroom is right next door to mine!

Gnat Fest

And Janda always says..."Baxley is boring!"

We traveled down south for our last summer getaway--our trip started off with a bang! An accident with a big 18 wheeler (funny story)...but we trudged onto Baxley anyway-- with Janda greeting us with the Sanford and Son theme song (nothing like having a good friend!!). Thanks to Janda, Jada and both Keiths we had a great time on the lake!! Lots of tubing, boat rides, and a great low country boil--yum!!!
