We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day. ~Edith Lovejoy Pierce
We had our "Hanging of the Green" ceremony at church this weekend...as usual Ryan's performance had us all laughing! In the first song he was actually trying to reach the microphone which is why he was turned to the side...the second song is actually the funniest!
***sorry for the poor video/sound quality...we were using the phone...
Owen's choir group did a great job, too! They looked so professional in their robes!
Every year after Thanksgiving, we begin the painful ritual of trying to capture the perfect Christmas card photo...it is always a horrible experience! We (meaning me) do not want to send out terrible pictures so that everyone can comment on how poorly we have aged or how ugly our kids are! Honestly, if I had the money I would hire a professional photographer to create the cards for me every year!! Anyway...this was attempt number one-we will try again soon
(much to Chris and Owen's disappointment-can't you see how thrilled they are to be participants??)...
(sorry...blurry photo-I think the blur makes me look better/younger, though!)
Janda suckered me into helping with the CASA fashion show this year...it was actually a lot of fun and a very impressive set-up! I met some great people and got some cool new duds!
This year we had a "Cat in the Hat" and a "Dallas Cowboy Football Player".
Halloween has become the longest holiday! We now have 15 "Trunk or Treats" to attend prior to the real thing! Once you've been to a trunk or treat in a huge field with a hundred cars, bonfires, smores, trains, games, etc...trick or treating in your neighborhood on the 31st is kind of a let down!
