Here we go again! Summer seems to get shorter every year!! We started school on August 1st, and I've just had time to catch my breath and post our back to school pics...we've had a great start... Owen said he was excited to actually know all of the kids in his class at the beginning of the year (poor kid has been in 3 different schools and is only in 4th grade...)!!
Our living room has been arranged pretty much the same way for the past 7 years...which is kinda funny since we moved into a totally different style of home 2 years ago! It still worked, so we went with it...but lately I have been addicted to HGTV and design blogs, so I was ready for change!! Thanks to some friends (janda, heather, susan, ronnie)-we have a new arrangement!! I'm still working on the back wall, but we are enjoying the new set up so far!
the super nice bus (i went to camp on a school bus!)
heading to camp!
see ya'll friday!
Owen is away at church camp this week...this will be the longest time he has been away from home...i was really nervous (he was apprehensive, too), but after talking to him last night i am no longer worried! They are having so much fun!! 6 males in a room----mass chaos!!
We had a fun 4th in St. Simons! Lots of biking, fishing, sparklers, swimming, fireworks, and great food! Unfortunately, Chris had to have an emergency root canal on the actual 4th-yuck--thankfully all is well now!!
We had a great week in Siesta Key, Florida! We enjoyed the beautiful beach and good food... Chris and the boys did a lot of fishing and even went parasailing!! Chris' uncle Donny and cousin Brian also came by for a visit...we are already looking forward to next year's trip!!

The ash from the wildfires is the closest thing to snow South GA will ever see!! Today was especially smoky and the ash was floating down all day long---crazy! We're glad to be heading out of town soon...
This year we decided to sign Owen up for UGA's junior football camp...as a University of Georgia grad, I was so excited for him! It was a great experience...he stayed in a dorm in Russell Hall, ate all his meals in the dining hall and practiced on UGA's practice field with Coach Bobo--so cool!
Very low key...we did have a visit from the Easter bunny, though...
oh, and Ryan did a little stripping in front of the whole church to show off a new tee shirt-we all decided it was a good thing he didn't get new underwear!
We took the boys on their first trip to Disney World during Spring Break. We now understand all the hype--we had a great time and are already planning our next trip! This was a quick visit so we only went to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot-our main goal was for Ryan to meet Mickey and we were able to check that off our list first thing (well actually 2nd thing...first was a ride on Space Mountain which is why he isn't looking as happy as he truly feels!)!
We celebrated Owen's birthday this weekend with a football theme (of course!)...we started at school on Friday with football brownies...then on Saturday morning Owen ran in his first one mile fun run-The 34th annual Okefenokee Swamp Run. He came in 7th place out of 100+ runners of all ages!! A party at Gator practice field followed the Swamp Run-so we are officially worn out! More birthday photos to come!!
